Footloose

I hear they’re remaking Footloose. I can’t tell you how much this displeases me. It’s a classic. It should just be left alone. I love the scene when Ren gets in a fight with his uncle and drives to the abandoned warehouse to do gymnastics. What I love about it is how realistic it is. I remember being a teenager, and getting so mad at my parents. I would just dance and do cartwheels and back flips all night. By the way, Why were there uneven bars in that warehouse? They seemed a little out of place. Nevertheless, that was quite the floor routine. Another thing that bothers me is the perfectly choreographed dance scene at the end. Dancing in this town was forbidden. It was against the law. You couldn’t do it. You would be shunned. Yet at the end when they’re finally allowed to dance, it’s like they’re all professional dancers. They were popping, locking, I think there may have even been some dropping. I’ve always wanted an explanation. Were they getting lessons or something? Whatever, I’m boycotting the remake.
