Goodnight Moon

Have you ever noticed that most children’s books are written and illustrated by different people? Seriously, the guy who draws the pictures can’t figure out words for the story. Like these are complex intricate stories. I read my nephew a book called Bobby the Bear. I turned to the first page and read “ There once was a bear named Bobby.” Holy Shit Who wrote this ? Was it M night Shylaman? The first page and I’m already thrown for a loop. I can’t believe the bear’s name is Bobby. What a crazy twist to add in, and on the first page of all places. What about Goodnight Moon? That book has sold millions of copies. I really hope the illustrator gets a bigger chunk of the profits than the other guy on that one. How long could it have taken to write Goodnight Moon? I mean did the guy ever have writer’s block? I can see it now. Goodnight lamp, goodnight couch, goodnight coffee table, goodnight…… umm goodnight…. Uhh … Shit!! What else can she say goodnight to?
