Being the huge Ninja Turtles fan that I am, this question has plagued me for years. Why wasn't Casey Jones in Teenage mutant ninja turtles II Secret of the ooze. He had a pretty big part in the first movie. Not only did he save Raphael's life, but he kicked the shit out of Tatsu and then delivered an inspirational speech to the foot clan.
By the end of the movie he was banging April O'Neil. Whatever happened with that? Did they get in a fight or something? If so, what caused it? Was sharing a one bedroom apartment with four 6 foot tall turtles and a rat too much drama for their relationship to flourish? We'll never know because it was never explained, and it pisses me off.
Instead they tried to replace him with Keno. Keno sucked. He was obnoxious, annoying, told bad jokes, and when it came to karate he was a novice at best. Casey Jones was too cool for karate. He would just beat the shit out of people with a hockey stick. Casey hitting Raphael with the cricket paddle was easily the second most hilarious part of the movie. If it weren't for Splinter's all-time funny after killing shredder if would have been number 1.
It's not that I didn't like the movie. It was still pretty good. Mainly because Michelangelo is a comedic genius, and also I thought Tokar and Razor both delivered Oscar-worthy performances. I still can't believe they got snubbed that year. Oh yeah, and before I forget How cool would it have been to be at that Vanilla Ice concert? I think about that all the time.
Oh well, it was still a hell of a lot better than ninja turtles 3. Time traveling to ancient china to rescue April O'Neil. New Line Cinema are you kidding me? Way to jump the shark on that one fellas. They might as well have included a visit from the Harlem globetrotters.
In the third Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles they didn't travel to ancient china, that was feudal Japan
